New design: mansion Leiden
Because there are a number of legal restrictions, creating an interior design for a national monument is always a challenge. This also goes for this four-storey mansion, with a view of one of Leiden's city centre parks. So Remy was not allowed to change the original layout. In his design he therefore tried to underline its strong points. The result is a contemporary interior with, for instance, panel doors, ceilings, floors and materials that do justice to the authenticity of this house. Although the parental home of the client feels familiar, it still has its own, somewhat soft feel. The attic is furnished as a complete apartment.
