Mansion in The Hague

Natural light plays a defining role in this townhouse on the outskirts of The Hague, which is exactly as its owners wished. This consideration for natural light guided the design of the layout, the aim of which was to ensure a calming and comfortable interior ambience whatever the time of day. That priority lay at the heart of the entire renovation of this spacious 100-year-old building.
To this end, the original layout, the distinctive living room and suite, and the original ornamental ceilings served as a starting point. The separation between the kitchen and living room was removed, allowing daylight to wash unbroken through the ground floor, the pristine white walls amplifying the abundance of natural light. A selection of light fixtures come into play when the sun sets.
Thanks to the open space light reaches deep into the house.
